Be
a POWER buyer.
Answer
these questions before you buy your tractor system.
|
P |
PACKAGE -
Is the tractor factory-equipped to accept most implements
or will additional supportive (and costly) upgrades have to be
purchased? Make sure that you are comparing "apples to
apples" not "lemons to apples". Some brands offer
stripped down, outdated design models which while appearing to be a
good value are in fact not. Differences can include weight,
hydraulic plumbing, hydraulic pump capacity, bucket attachment type
(front end loader), and brush guard just to name a few.
PRICE - Tractors
and equipment can vary significantly in price. Make sure you
are satisfied that you are receiving the best value for your
investment. Ask questions! |
|
O |
OPTIONS
- What options are available for the tractor? Make
sure you understand what is "Standard" and what is
"Optional". There is a difference brand to brand. |
|
W |
WARRANTY
- How does the warranty compare brand to brand? Warranties
do vary so make sure you find out what is the "best available". WEIGHT –
Compare weights brand to brand. In most
applications power and efficiency is a product of weight. |
|
E |
EQUIPMENT -
Can upgrades be purchased separately or to
obtain what you want will you be required to buy an option group
which may include items that you don’t need or which may be
standard on other brands? |
|
R |
RELIABILITY -
Does the dealer, as well as the product, have a good reputation? An
integral part of reliability is service. Can the dealer adequately
maintain your machine? Can warranty work, installations and future
repairs be accomplished quickly and efficiently? Does the dealer
stock a full range and selection of tractors, equipment, and parts? |
